Penny Vann conducted an Old Testament seminar at the Takanini Church of Christ, assisted by her husband Jeff.

This seminar looked at the Big Picture of the Old Testament, particularly the themes of forgiveness, grace, judgment, redemption and God's love. These themes begin in the Old Testament and continue in the New Testament.

The Bible consists of 66 books written by 40 different authors working under God's direction over a period of 1,600 years. The fact that these 66 books combine to form a coherent and internally consistent story covering the past, present and future is indicative of the divine nature of those words.

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Rom 15:4 NASB)

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2Tim 3:16-17 NASB)
